Have you ever imagined what the cities of the future will be like? Autonomous vehicles, sustainable buildings, solar panels and definitely a focus on sustainability.
Quite a futuristic dream, right? Well this can become a reality.
Recently, Toyota announced that it will create Weoven City, an urban prototype that was called "the laboratory of the future"; There it will be possible to find all these innovations.
This is a unique opportunity Chile Mobile Number List to develop future technologies, as Akio Toyoda, CEO of Toyota, said, “building an entire city from scratch, even on a small scale like this, is an opportunity, including a digital operating system for infrastructure.” from the city".
The main objective of the Woven City is to function as a kind of "living laboratory", where its residents and developers can test and create technologies for autonomous machines, robotics, mobility, smart homes and Artificial Intelligence within a real environment.
Akio Toyoda, CEO de Toyota.
« With people, buildings and vehicles connected and communicating with each other through data and sensors, we will be able to know how connected Artificial Intelligence works. Both in the virtual and physical spheres,” added Toyoda.
The layout of the city
The Danish architect Bjarke Ingels was in charge of designing the Woven City, together with Toyota.
The city's master plan included three types of streets to meet various mobility needs. With this design, traffic can be improved, since it will be limited to a single class of vehicle.
Everything will be electric, autonomous and with a zero emissions certification. In the case of slower traffic (skateboards, bicycles and pedestrians) they will use another one, and a kind of park-boulevards will be dedicated exclusively to pedestrians.
The project also aims to ensure that the houses are made of wood and that their construction technique mixes an ancient Japanese technique and robotic production methods.
“ Technologies are beginning to radically change the way we inhabit and navigate our cities ,” said the Danish architect.
We believe that with Woven City we have a unique opportunity to explore new forms of urbanism, which could pave the way for other cities to explore.
Regarding energy, Toyota stated that it will build roofs with solar panels that will be very functional for the supply of energy, which will be powered by energy cells provided with hydrogen fuel.
As announced by the brand, the next step will be connectivity: all homes will be equipped with various technologies such as Artificial Intelligence based on sensors to monitor people's health.
The creation and design of this city proposes a greener future. This not only contributes something positive to the place, but to the world. If this model were duplicated we would be talking about a better world in the future.
